More New Band Members
Lajko was concerned that the band's percussion section still lacked volume and versatility, and made good use of the band's "audience participation" gimmick to beef up the backbeat. Nick Dwyer, a perennial fan and follower of the band, and a talented drummer in his own right, was frequently invited on the stage to join the band. He started coming to the practice sessions too and soon, without anybody really noticing, he was a band member.
During a gig in Dob Utca, home of Brown's girlfriend Holly Pheby and popular venue with fans, Marv Trickey, recently arrived in Budapest, asked if he could play a song. Shocked by such audacity, Brown agreed and handed his guitar over to Trickey. Trickey played an incomparable version of "Rocky Raccoon", told the band he had a bass guitar and amplifier, and was welcomed into the band with open arms.
The Steve Brown Sound had become a 5-piece.
