The Frank Factor
Clearly the fact that Harvey had lacked an instrument had seriously limited his musical contribution to the band. Anxious that his own fate should not reflect that of his predecessor, Frank Lajko got hold of a large plastic water container and practised hitting it with the measured skill of a true musician. The container was undeniably a drum.
Having been a drummer in various bands in the past, Lajko brought a new sense of professionalism to the band. He introduced the concept of practising before gigs, and the band's repertoire increased in both quality and range. Lajko's vocal dexterity and sense of theatre added a new dimension to the SBS, earning them even more positive feedback from their adoring fans.
