Breaking my rule, and reading two books at once: The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle on the train to work, and The Glass Palace by Amitav Ghosh on the tube from Marble Arch to White City, the train home and before turning the light out at night.

See, I have it all worked out. There's (almost) nothing I like more than planning my reading. I'm planning a winter read, as I previously mentioned. It could be a couple of classics, or it could be books set in winter and snow. As a young 'un, I read the Susan Cooper Dark is Rising series at least 5 years in a row - a perfect winter read. Philip Pullman's trilogy would work equally well. Some Alan Garner also ticks the boxes.
