Brazzaville Beach by William Boyd during a long weekend in France for bridesmaid duties. We tried to think of cottage industries we could set up to finance a life in the South of France. I posited reading, but was told that I wouldn't get paid for it (boo!) so we're now considering setting up a lemonade stand by the side of a road.

Now on to the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. It's trash. And I don't care: it's me celebrating NOT having a dissertation to write this summer. Bring on the beach novel I say.
